The surgery is performed in hospital conditions, under the supervision of an anesthesiologist and in the operating room. It can be performed with general anesthesia, as well as local anesthesia and intravenous sedation (asleep through a vein). It takes about 1.5-2 hours. It is possible to go home the same day. If necessary, it can be performed at the same time as other aesthetic surgeries. In that case, the surgery and hospital stay will be extended.
After Facial Aesthetic Surgery
The early postoperative period is usually comfortable. There may be general swelling, bruising, numbness and a feeling of tension on the forehead and around the eyes. These will go away on their own within 2 weeks. A head bandage may be applied, leaving the eyes, nose and mouth open. The bandage is removed after 2 days. A general check-up and dressing change are performed. The hair is washed and the bandage is reapplied if necessary. The stitches are removed after 5-7 days.
Returning to Normal Life After Facial Aesthetic Surgery
The surgery gives good results. Retouching may be necessary in rare cases. The person can return to work and wear make-up after 2 weeks. It is recommended to avoid heavy exercises and sun for 2 months and to protect from external impacts. The new shape given to the forehead and eyebrows will be affected by gravity, so it will sometimes last 5-10 years and sometimes a lifetime, depending on the person’s constitution.
