Facelift aesthetics refers to a series of surgical procedures and techniques performed to correct and rejuvenate conditions such as sagging, wrinkles, signs of aging and loosening in the face and neck area. It is also known as “face lift” or “rhytidectomy”.

The aim of this cosmetic surgery procedure is to tighten and reposition the skin, muscles and tissues of the face and neck area and restore a fresher youthful appearance. Facelift aesthetics can target the following areas:

Upper Face Area: Forehead, eyebrows and around the eyes.
Middle Face Area: Cheeks and around the mouth.
Lower Face and Neck Area: Under the chin and neck area.

How is Facelift Aesthetics Performed?

Facelift aesthetic procedures usually include the following steps:

Anesthesia: Anesthesia is usually administered to make the patient relax and feel no pain during the surgical procedure. Local anesthesia or general anesthesia may be preferred.

Surgical Incisions: The surgeon usually makes incisions along the scalp lines or natural facial folds. These incisions are strategically placed to minimize subsequent scarring.

Skin and Tissue Tightening: The surgeon lifts the skin and tightens the tissues underneath to provide a fresher youthful appearance.

Repositioning of Fat and Tissues: If necessary, procedures such as redistributing fat or removing excess tissues are performed.

Closure of Incisions: Surgical incisions are usually closed with sutures or tissue adhesives.

Recovery Period: Swelling, bruising and discomfort may be experienced during the postoperative recovery period. The skin and stitches heal within a certain period of time.

    Are Facelift Aesthetic Results Permanent?

Facelift aesthetics is a procedure that is customized depending on the person’s existing facial structure and wishes. The surgeon’s experience, the patient’s health status and expectations should be taken into consideration to achieve ideal results. A facelift usually provides permanent results, but the effects of aging may reappear over time.
